FIND YOUR PERFECT FIT

step into the right size

We have fit thousands of female feet correctly and have learnt a thing or two about shoes over the years, so please read through this comprehensive guide which will help you choose the best size .. and style for you ♥

We know how confusing buying shoes can be, so we've tried to make it as simple as possible!   Our footwear is based on a very traditional sizing model, however we do know sizing can be inconsistent with different brands (especially work and safety brands).

Footwear industry returns average at about 25-30% however ours sit at only 7% and this is due to the comprehensive info we provide. Keep in mind, we offer returns for peace of mind purchasing as every foot is different and we can't guarantee sizes. You can read our returns policy here.

So, keep reading and we'll help you make an informed (and correct!) decision! x

step 1

Start with what's in your cupboard

Before you reach for the tape measure, check the shoes you already love.  Look for sizing info on the label, sole or inside the upper on shoes like sneakers, fashion boots, pumps and slides. Don't look at other branded safety boots - it's highly likely they're based on a male fit (very different to ours!).

• What size do you usually wear?
• Do you tend to size up or down for comfort or width?

This gives you a great starting point.  If you're consistent across most of your shoes, chances are you'll be that size in she wear too. If you are generally a half size, refer to the product page you're interested in and we will advise whether to size down or up (more on half sizes below!).

Be sure to check the SIZE & FIT INFO on each product page .. we’ll guide you on what kind of foot each style is best suited to.

step 2

Measure your foot

If your shoe sizes are inconsistent, follow these instructions to measure the length of your foot and refer to the table at the bottom of this page.

• Measure when you're barefoot and at the end of the day (your feet can swell during the day)
• Use your longest foot to choose your size
• Make sure the 0 of your tape measure starts at the wall (some start with an extra gap)

NB : Sizings and measurements cannot be guaranteed - this information is a guide only.  No two feet are the same!!

step 3

Let's talk widths

If you’ve never had to think about width when buying shoes, you can probably skip this section - most of our styles will work for you. But if you do find width a challenge, then this is for you!

We outline the width of each style clearly under SIZE & FIT INFO on the product page .. whether it’s a narrow-average fit or a true wide fit.  This guidance is based on over 11 years of customer feedback, fittings and real-world wear testing.

A few things to know about width ..

Fit matters - in all directions. Just like you wouldn’t wear a shoe that’s too short, you shouldn’t wear one that’s too narrow or too wide. If the shape isn’t right, it won’t feel good or support you properly. We understand a true wide fit looks bulkier than their narrow fit cousins, however comfort is queen - and your feet will love you for it!

Half sizes? Bit of a myth! A lot of brands create “half sizes” by simply adding padding .. it doesn’t actually mean more space where you need it. Our wide fit styles are designed with a wider base and considered dimensions .. so the fit is real, not padded.

What about letter widths (B, C, D, E)? Kind of another myth! The real key is where your foot is wide .. not just how wide it is overall. You might be wide across the toes, have a bunion, or a high instep .. and each of those needs a different kind of fit. That’s why we don’t rely on outdated width letters .. we design around real foot shapes.

Want to check your foot width at home? Use a tape measure and measure the widest part of your foot (usually across the ball). Then refer to the width chart below to compare with our style recommendations. Note : this isn't really foolproof - that's why not many brands give width measurements.

SMART ADVICE THAT HELPS

No two feet are the same

Comfort isn’t just about the right size .. it’s also about depth, support, lacing, and how your shoes interact with your feet. Here's a little extra insight to help you feel your best in she wear.

Adaptable fit : We have clever hidden internal depth in our shoes to cater for our bio mechanical footbeds (which are thicker than standard insoles).  The beauty with this is, you can easily swap out for a thinner insole to gain some extra space.

Lacing methods : There are multiple ways you can lace your footwear to make your shoes suit your foot type better.  Narrow feet - lock lacing is fantastic!  Wide foot? You can skip the lacing over the top of your foot.

Take our fit quiz : Need some help - take our fit quiz here and find out the best shoe for you in less than 30 seconds!

Still not sure? Reach out to our team of fit experts, or book a personalised virtual fitting appointment here.

And remember .. it can take time to adjust to new shoes, particularly supportive, structural shoes like ours! We have lots of tips on getting comfy in your new shoes, so make sure to read it thoroughly when you receive your new kicks!

step 4

Now you're fit ready

Armed with all this info, now head over to the style that you've got your eye on .. and thoroughly read the product information. Go to the SIZE & FIT INFO tab and all the info you need is there to make an informed decision!

If you're unsure of what style will suit your foot type, you can filter out in the category pages according to width. You can also do our fit quiz.

And remember, our team of fit experts is here to help! We've fit so many women over the last 11 years, so we do know a thing or 2 about shoes and good fit ;)
