Why We Made This

Please welcome our first vegan work boot, Considers, to the she wear family!

Manufactured with a bio based non leather microfibre upper, she has the same safety specs as our Pursues style such as a lightweight 200 joule impact resistant composite toe cap and a slip resistant PU/TPU sole (a great option for wearing in the outdoors - particularly if you're regularly walking on abrasive surfaces). TPU soles are highly durable, providing a high tolerance against cuts, abrasian and cracking and also offers best-in-class slip resistance properties (SRC). TPU is heat resistant to 130 degrees C, so has a lower heat resistance rating than rubber (offering 300 degrees C).

She is suuuuuper comfy, supportive and designed for all day wear, offering superior shock absorption plus our bio mechanical footbeds and Poron anti fatigue midsole inserts. And as always, designed and contoured for a female foot shape .. correctly and comfortably!

The Considers vegan womens work boot's upper is manufactured with a bio based vegan friendly microfibre, derived from natural renewable resources (like corn, agricultural or forestry wastes) rather than fossil fuels, and therefore more sustainable and eco friendly. Research shows bio based production processes consume up to 40% less energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 40% compared to petroleum based material. This material is soft, breathable and durable. If you want vegan friendly or a non leather alternative, Considers vegan work boots are the boot for you!

Female Specific Fit

Many women’s work shoes are actually made for men. Sry, wot? Yep, it’s weird, but true - shoes that women use for work (including boots, sneakers and joggers) are often designed on a male foot mold. So even though these shoes are sold in “women’s” or “unisex” sizes, they are often made to fit a man’s foot. The problem is that a female foot is anatomically different to a male’s.

So we listened to the science, and designed our entire range on a WOMAN’S foot mould. This means she wear provides better support, comfort and lower limb alignment - WINNING!

Beware the Traps

Boot size: When choosing she wear boots, don’t be guided by the size you take in another boot brand (y’know they are probably a man’s fit). Instead, use your everyday shoe size as a guide. Or check our Size Guide.

Narrow/Wide feet: Have a read through our comprehensive SIZE & FIT section as it lists sizing suggestions and which foot profiles are suitable. For wider feet, ignore suggestions that your wider profile is better suited to a man’s shoes - a male (or unisex) shoe will not provide a proper female fit, especially for your heels, ankles or arches.
