Supporting our community
As a small Australian business, we believe it extremely important to give back to our local communities and charities. To date, we have donated over $60,000 to charities and people in need around Australia.
We have proudly partnered with RizeUp for our 2020/2021 limited edition women’s work boot. $10 from every sale of our ultramarine green SHE ACHIEVES work boot will be donated to this amazing organisation supporting families in need.
RizeUp’s mission is to drive awareness of domestic and family violence within society by generating life-changing, practical support for the families affected, giving them the hope and empowerment to move on.
RizeUp delivers 3 main programs : Rapid Response Program, Homes, Program and a Youth Enrichment Support Solution. Research that underpins the RizeUp programs demonstrates :
- 1 in 3 women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence perpetrated by someone known to them
- 61% of women had children in their care when it occurred
- When children are brought up in a house with DV, they have trouble connecting with friends and family and their future is significantly compromised
- Women and men are more likely to experience DV at the hand of men, with around 95% of all victims in Australia reporting a male perpetrator
Please help us support this amazing organisation as they rely heavily upon donations of money, furniture or household goods. If you would like to donate or volunteer with RizeUp, please refer to their website or Facebook page.
If you are affected by domestic or family violence, please call 1800 RESPECT (1800 737 732). And please remember at all times, there is support for you and your family x
SHARE THE DIGNITY
Our limited edition women’s t-shirts have been produced to support Share The Dignity.
10% of sales of our limited edition t-shirts will be converted into period products and donated to Share The Dignity, who distribute thousands of period products each year to those in need. Their ethos is “access to period products should be a right, NOT a privilege” so they tirelessly work to ensure everyone is afforded the dignity so many of us take for granted. Share The Dignity’s work directly benefits women in crisis.
We distributed our “Bush Fire & Drought Care Programme” where we sent care packs to women who were affected by the heartbreaking bushfires and the disastrous droughts. Over $13,000 worth of product was sent to women in need. Packs included she wear work boots, clothing & socks and we worked with several of our suppliers who donated product including workwear, safety glasses and gloves. We are in absolute appreciation of our sponsor donors : Elwood Workwear, Eve Workwear, Bolle Safety and Australian Safety Wholesalers.
We donated over 100 pairs of sample, ex-display and imperfect safety boots to Queensland aboriginal communities in need.
In lieu of Black Friday discounts, we donated $10 for every pair sold to Drought Angels to help our Aussie farmers in need.
We donated 50 pairs of boots to RSPCA Qld for their staff and volunteers to wear in their animal shelters.
For 2 years, we were very proud to be involved with 3 fabulous charities! $10 from every pair of our SHE ACHIEVES style sold was donated to charity .. and our customers chose the charity closest to their hearts! ♥ The charities we supported were NBCF, RUOK? and RSPCA Australia.
We released a specially designed limited edition boot for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and donated $10 for every pair sold.
We also ran a campaign with Buy a Bale where $10 for every “she will” boot sold was donated to this awesome charity who focus on assisting our farming communities who are suffering one of the worst droughts on record.
